Hawaii provides a natural meeting ground for Asia and the U.S.-- this conference brought together pediatric leaders from China (Beijing and Shanghai), Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, and the United States to examine health systems related to early child development. The written report and selected audio presentations centered on translating the science of early child development in the U.S. to research, training, service, and policy among participating countries and cultures.
