Selected pediatric leaders and early childhood educators from China (Beijing and Shanghai), Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, India and the United States convened to explore the application of recent scientific research, particularly on early brain development, and to advance the importance of creating integrated systems of care for all children.   The written report and selected audio presentations centered on discussions that built toward participants defining commitments of activities to take place in their individual countries during 2005.
